Overview

Pad Frame ("we", "us", or "our") turns your iPad into a digital photo frame. We designed it to keep your data on your device wherever possible. This Privacy Policy explains what the app accesses, why, and what (if anything) leaves your device.

Photo Library Access

With your permission, Pad Frame reads photos from your device's photo library to display them as a slideshow on your screen. We never upload, copy, or share photos from your device library, and we do not operate any servers that receive your photos.

Location & Weather

If you enable the weather display, Pad Frame requests your location only while the app is open. Your approximate coordinates are sent to Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com), a third-party weather service, solely to retrieve the current local weather shown beside the clock. Your location is not stored, is never used to track or profile you, and is never accessed in the background.

Cloud Photo Services (optional)

Pad Frame can optionally connect to Google Photos, Microsoft OneDrive, Dropbox, or your own NAS / WebDAV server so you can display photos stored there. If you choose to connect a service:

• You sign in directly with that provider. The resulting access token — or, for a NAS, the server address and credentials you enter — is stored only on your device and is used solely to load the photos you select.
• Your photos and credentials travel only between your device and the provider you connected. We do not receive, store, or have access to them.
• You can disconnect a service at any time within the app, which removes the stored token or credentials from your device.

Purchases

Pad Frame Pro is sold through Apple's App Store. All payments are processed by Apple; we never see or store your payment information. The app only records, on your device, whether a valid purchase or subscription is currently active.

Data Storage

App settings (such as the selected album, transition effect, and display preferences) and any cloud sign-in tokens are stored locally on your device only. No personal data is sent to servers operated by us.

Third-Party Services

Pad Frame does not use any analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs, and does not track you across other apps or websites. The only third parties the app communicates with are the ones you choose to use: Open-Meteo for weather, any cloud photo service you connect (Google, Microsoft, or Dropbox), and Apple for purchases. Each of these services has its own privacy policy.

Children's Privacy

Our app does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
